Captain Moses Veale, 109th Pennsylvania Volunteers was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for the Battle of Wauhatchee, Tennessee, personally cited by General John Geary who praised his exceptional courage, leading his men in defending a battery while rebel soldiers wr picking off the gunners, and refused to leave the field despite receiving 4 wounds. As asst comm of Musters, 2nd Division, 12th Army Corps. An Original Muster-Out Roll for 1st Lieutenant Orson Foot, 60th New York Volunteers, stating he is mustered out to accept a commission as Captain, issued at Aquia Creek, Virginia, June 8, 1863 just a few weeks before Foot and his men fought at Gettysburg. An Original Muster-Out Roll for 1st Lieutenant Orson Foot, 60th New York Volunteers who served until discharged for wounds received at Atlanta, Georgia. Age & ink stains, edge wear, Overall Good.
